Rating?, huh?

What's this "rating" thing? Some sort of thing to see how many warnings you have and stuff?

The rating of each member has always been there, just now every member is able to see their own rating level.

In other words, you get three warnings. After that, you could be banned.

That's all.

And no, we're not Nazis. Before giving a warning, it's talked about in the mod forum, we don't just decide it on our own.

I love it. I think it's pretty useful. I won't call you nazis for doing what you're supposed to do.

And that thread you linked me to pissed me off at some levels, but hey. Closed, and maybe it's better.

It wasn't me who closed it, it was Jess. She has her reasons, just the same as I would have closed it if I'd had got to it first.

I really don't understand why there is such a big fuss (in general) being made out of the ratings... The ratings have always been there, just before you couldn't see them. And there are very few boards that don't have the rating / warning system.

Yeah, I think it is even better to have it this way. So people can see it. It's less totalitarian, even tho I wouldn't call it that way anyhow. I guess the old saying is true: ojos que no ven, corazón que no siente.
In fact I don't have the warning system at my forum. If someone pisses me off, (s)he's locked in The Padded Cell until I deem it appropriate. Apparently it works as a disuasory weapon, since I've never had to use it.

Removed from warn level should not have been warned as far as I know.

Yeah, I noticed that too a few days ago... I have no idea why you were given a warning. I'll go and check the warn log though, see if it says anything.

Kakia, I don't know why you were warned. All it says in the warn log is what you can see yourself if you click on the -1 level. It says that you weren't contacted when Jess removed the warning, which was on 2nd Dec 2004. The strange thing is that it doesn't say when you were given the warning that increased your level in the first place.

Either it was a technical error due to the board, or somebody warned you by mistake and it's not logged.

But ideally, your warning level should be 0, not -1.
